Welcome To Songs By Bob Larimer

Bob Larimer attended Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where his first musicals were produced by the Drama Department. In New York City he became an advertising copywriter and concurrently collaborated on a number of musical theater productions. He co-founded the advertising agency, Nadler & Larimer, where he was President and Creative Director and wrote scores of commercials, many with music, for such clients as Faberge, Conde Nast Publications and Ideal Toys. In the musical theater he worked with the director, Vinette Carroll to create “But Never Jam Today,” a Broadway show based on “Alice in Wonderland.” He collaborated on many Off-Broadway musicals including, “King Of The Whole Damn World,” “Jack And Jill” and “999 B.C.”—as well as the animated movie, “Hugo, The Hippo.” His songs have been recorded by Cher, Judy Collins, Marlene Dietrich, Burl Ives, Marie Osmond and Jerry Orbach. Today he and his wife, Riki Kane, own Metrokane, a leading maker of wine accessories including The Rabbit Corkscrew.
(See www.metrokane.com.) His current musical project is “Blue Roads”—a country musical revue.

Cary Grant listens to Bob Larimer play “You’re Fabulous, Babe!”—the theme he composed to introduce Faberge’s popular “Babe” fragrance Mr. Grant was on the Faberge Board Of Directors at the time. The theme later became a “Top Ten” hit in England.
